Uploading of Photograph and Signature for NEET 2018

Uploading of Photograph and Signature for NEET 2018

Students were finding it difficult to upload their photograph and signatures on the NEET-UG portal as they were not able to decrease the image size or were getting an error like "Invalid Candidate Photo Found".

Thus I decided to write a blog on this.

For uploading the images the main concept was to reduce the size / resolution / pixel of the said image.

Before starting please download this program PIXresizer.

To download it  Please Click Here !

Thus after downloading, installing and launching the software follow the below mentioned steps.

A small note for macOS and Linux users only: Since this file may not run on these two platforms because of it's executable nature, you may use Wine or any other software's to run .exe file. Alternatively, you may also use any other similar software's by searching on the internet.

Step 1. Create 3 different folders on your Destop viz. Photograph, Signature and Final

Step 2. Put both of your images i.e. the Photograph and Signature in two different folders on your Desktop.

Step 3. FIRSTLY for Photograph select the Source folder as the folder in which you have kept your Photograph and the Final folder as Destination
Set the size as 500 and Then click on " Save Pictures "

Step 4. SECONDLY for Signature select the Source folder as the folder in which you have kept your Signature and the Final folder as Destination
Set the size as 300 and Then click on " Save Pictures "

You may increase or decrease the size as per your convenience.

Solution to the slow shutdown of LXDE based desktop operating system

Generally, users install LXDE environment on their Linux distros so they can smoothly run their OS' inspite of their slow hardware, nevertheless of the decrease in feature due to a different environment the bash terminal is always the most powerful option in terms of both customisability and performance. New users may experience a small bug, that can be easily fixed if you follow my instructions. The problem user's face is as follows: While shutting down in the LXDE environment the stopping service keeps running in the background, which slows the shutdown process, when you press the Escape or the Up arrow key you will see that the system allots each process a time of around 180 seconds to stop and then force stops it. The problem can thus be solved directly by changing that time as  per your convenience. (like 10 seconds, maybe) This can easily done by editing the file /etc/systemd/system.conf Thus, do the following commands per line cd / vi /etc/
